Black cherry Jell-O mix – 1 box (6 oz)
Boiling water – 1 cup
Cold water – 1/2 cup

Creamy Base

Cream cheese, softened – 8 oz
Sweetened condensed milk – 1 can (14 oz)
Cold whipped topping – 1 cup

Mix-Ins & Upgrades

Sliced peaches or mandarin oranges, drained – 1 can (15 oz)
Chopped pecans or maraschino cherries – 1/2 cup
Almond extract – 1 dash

Instructions

Step 1: Dissolve and Partial-Set

Pour 1 cup boiling water over the Jell-O mix and stir for 2 minutes until dissolved.
Add 1/2 cup cold water and refrigerate for 15–20 minutes until the mixture reaches a syrupy, thickened consistency (not fully set).

Step 2: Make the Creamy Base

Beat the softened cream cheese until smooth and airy.
Gradually mix in sweetened condensed milk until lump-free.
Fold in whipped topping gently until fluffy.

Step 3: Marbling Effect

Pour the syrupy Jell-O into the cream cheese mixture.
Fold gently with a spatula—stop before the colors are fully blended to create a signature marbled look.

Step 4: Add Fruit and Chill

Fold in drained peaches or mandarin oranges.
Transfer to a 9×9 pan, glass trifle bowl, or decorative mold.
Cover and refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight is best) to let the gelatin set completely.

Step 5: Garnish and Serve

Serve chilled. Top each portion with whipped cream, a cherry, or chopped pecans for extra texture and flair.
