Banana Cake!!!
Banana Cake – This simple sheet cake version of a classic banana cake is the perfect easy dessert and a great way to use up extra bananas! Topped with cream cheese frosting, this banana cake is perfect!
This is a tried and true recipe !! if you want to satisfy your sweet tooth, you cannot go wrong here. This is the way my Mother always made, jut give a shot it won’t fail you !
Ingredients
cake
1/2 cup butter, softened
2 cups sugar
3 eggs
1 1/2 cups bananas, mashed
1 tsp vanilla
2 cups flour
1 tsp baking soda
pinch salt
cream cheese frosting:
1/2 cup butter
1 250g package cream cheese, softened
2 cups icing sugar (powdered sugar)
1 tsp vanilla
Instructions:
Preheat oven to 350F. Grease a 9×13 baking pan and set aside.
In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar until combined. Add eggs, bananas and vanilla and beat until combined.
In another bowl, stir together flour, baking soda and salt. Add to wet mixture and stir to combine.
Pour into prepared baking pan. Bake for 45 minutes or until a toothpick comes out cleanly from the centre. Cool.
Cream Cheese Frosting:
Beat butter and cream cheese together until smooth. Gradually add in icing sugar and vanilla. Beat until smooth. Spread over cooled cake.
