This chocolate “salami” recipe is a fun and delicious treat that’s perfect for parties or holidays. It’s made with crushed cookies, toasted walnuts, and a rich chocolate mixture, and it’s surprisingly easy to prepare.

 

Ingredients:

2 packages Maria’s cookies, crushed  (4.9 oz)

1 cup Walnuts, finely chopped and toasted

2 cups Chocolate chips

1 cup Heavy cream

1/3 cup Butter, cubed

1/3 cup Powdered sugar, for dusting

 

 

Instructions:

Prepare Cookies: Crush Maria’s cookies into fine crumbs using a food processor or by placing them in a plastic bag and crushing them with a rolling pin.

Toast Walnuts: In a dry skillet, toast finely chopped walnuts over medium heat until fragrant, about 3-5 minutes. Stir frequently to prevent burning.

Melt Chocolate: In a saucepan, combine chocolate chips, heavy cream, and cubed butter over low heat. Stir constantly until chocolate is melted and mixture is smooth.

Combine Ingredients: Remove chocolate mixture from the heat and stir in crushed cookies and toasted walnuts until well combined.

Shape Salami: Place a large piece of plastic wrap on a flat surface and transfer chocolate mixture onto it. Shape mixture into a log or salami shape, using the plastic wrap to help roll it tightly. Twist the ends of the plastic wrap to seal the log securely.

Chill and Set: Refrigerate chocolate salami for at least 2-3 hours or until firm.

Finish and Serve: Unwrap chocolate salami and roll in powdered sugar to coat evenly. Slice salami into rounds and serve.
