1 cup packed light brown sugar
½ cup unsalted butter, melted
2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon vanilla extract

How to Make Slow Cooker Biscuit Dessert

1. Prepare the Slow Cooker

Generously coat a 4- to 6-quart slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray or a little softened butter to help prevent sticking.

2. Add the Biscuit Dough

Separate the frozen biscuits. If they are large, cut each one into quarters. Smaller biscuits can be left whole.

Place the frozen biscuit pieces in an even layer across the bottom of the slow cooker.

3. Make the Cinnamon Mixture

In a medium bowl, combine the brown sugar and cinnamon.

Stir in the melted butter and vanilla until you have a thick, glossy mixture.

4. Combine Everything

Pour the brown sugar mixture evenly over the frozen biscuits, allowing it to seep between the pieces.

Do not stir. Keeping the biscuit pieces in place helps them cook properly while the buttery mixture caramelizes around them.

5. Slow Cook

Cover and cook on HIGH for 2–2½ hours or LOW for 3½–4 hours, until the biscuits are puffed and cooked through and the edges are bubbling and caramelized.

Check a biscuit from the center to make sure there is no raw dough remaining.

6. Rest and Serve

Switch the slow cooker to WARM and let the dessert rest, covered, for about 10 minutes.

Spoon the warm biscuits into bowls, making sure to include plenty of the gooey cinnamon sauce from the bottom.

Variations & Tips

Make it more festive: Add pastel candy-coated chocolate eggs or white chocolate chips during the final 10–15 minutes of cooking.

Add some crunch: Stir ½ cup chopped pecans or walnuts into the brown sugar mixture.

Less sweetness: Reduce the brown sugar to ¾ cup and add a small pinch of salt.

Add more flavor: A pinch of nutmeg or a little orange zest gives the dessert a fresh, spring-inspired flavor.

For serving: Top each portion with vanilla ice cream, whipped cream, or caramel sauce.
