Apple Cinnamon Cake

Apple Cinnamon Cake – Moist and spiced with apple and cinnamon. Great for dessert, a cup of coffee, or a warm holiday gathering.

 

Ingredients

– 2 cups of all-purpose flour
– 1 ½ teaspoons of baking powder
– 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
– ½ teaspoon of salt
– ½ cup of unsalted butter
– 1 cup of sugar
– 2 eggs
– 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract
– ½ cup of milk
– 2 diced apples
– ½ cup of walnuts or pecans (optional)

Method

  1. Set the oven to 350°F and prepare the pan.
  2. Combine the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  3. Cream together the butter and sugar, then mix in the eggs and vanilla.
  4. Alternate the addition of the dry mixture and the milk.
  5. Stir in the apples and nuts.
  6. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes.
  7. Allow the dish to cool before slicing and serving.

 

Notes

  • Use tart apples for the most delicious taste.
  • Add more spices if you’re looking for extra warmth.
  • Glazed or served plain, it still tastes great.
  • For up to two months, it freezes exceptionally well.
